Why Your Business Needs to Be Online—Now More Than Ever
One thing that COVID-19 made abundantly clear is this: Your business needs to be online.
Even if you're a brick-and-mortar store with a physical location, connecting with your customers digitally is crucial.
In today's world, it's not enough to simply have a Facebook page or an Instagram account—you need to engage with your audience on an authentic, personal level.
Know Your Market
The first step is understanding your market.
Who are the people you serve?
What do they like?
What do they dislike?
What aspects of the current world worry them?
What gives them hope?
These might seem like serious questions, but knowing these answers are essential for effective marketing and to effectively serve and care for your community.
In a time where 81% of consumers research online before making a purchase (and yes, that's factoring in purchase made in-store), knowing how to speak to your audience is key to building brand loyalty.
A good way to start is to learn about the people who generally purchase from you—their age, gender, location, and what other products or services they prefer.

Find Their Pain Points—and What Makes Them Smile
We've all heard about "pain points" and how addressing them can build trust and make your business the go-to choice over competitors.
But there's another side to this coin: what makes your audience smile? :)
People crave authenticity, especially in a world where 71% of consumers expect companies to deliver personalized interactions.
So, why not make your followers laugh or even crack a smile?
Speak to them like a friend, not just a company.
Share content that goes beyond promotions and sales pitches.
When you make your audience feel something—joy, relief, or simply being understood—they're more likely to see your business as more than "just another company."
Engage Authentically & Be Present
Being present online isn't just about posting regularly; it's about being authentic.
Start REAL conversations, ask REAL questions, and show that you're listening.
82% of consumers feel more positive about a brand after engaging with personalized content.
Your audience wants to feel valued and understood. Use this opportunity to foster a sense of community around your brand.
Your Brand is Determined by your Customers
In the digital age, every business, no matter how physical or location-bound, has the potential to create meaningful connections online. For many individuals I work with on branding already have a claim to fame or an identity that keeps their customers coming back to them.
My biggest piece of advice is to talk to your customers! They're the reason for what we do and as a result, they hold the key to understanding all you really need to know about improving your impact and leaving a lasting impression through streamlined experiences.
By understanding your market, addressing their needs, and engaging with them authentically, you transform from -just another company- into ✨a BRAND they trust & love✨
